Add a tap-tempo control that sets the beat’s playback BPM from successive taps.
Right now tempo is slider / +− / keyboard arrows. That works once you know the number. It is slow when the source is a song you're listening to, a count-in, or a beat still in your head.
How it should ideally behave...
Large tap target (or a dedicated Tap button) on the practice / playback screens.
Average the last 4–8 intervals; update BPM live after the 3rd or 4th tap.
Ignore a long gap (reset the buffer) so a missed beat does not drag the average.
Optional half-time / double-time toggle after the reading settles.
Work while playback is stopped, then apply the BPM when Play is pressed.
Keep the existing slider and number pad; tap is just another input.
