Hi Derek,
What I would feel would be good is :
- select multiple measures
would need a way to enter in "select mode"
- choose action (i.e. copy / paste / edit)
3.a. copy/paste => object of this ticket
3.b. edit => I would think of editing ONE single element (i.e. HiHat, snare, kick => user choice) AT ONCE, for all the selected mesures.
Workflow => If you choose Hihat : just display the first measure of the selected ones... modify HH (the other lines should be read only) ... click "Apply" => your new HH pattern is applied to all the selected measures.
Same principle applies for kick, snare, and so on... one by one.
Maybe would need a separate ticket for the EDIT workflow ?
(if this is even possible of course...)

As you suggested, I agree that a separate ticket would be best for the feature request of being able to edit multiple measures. This sounds like a very valid use case, but also a complicated one, and it would require some extra design effort. Let's keep this ticket specifically for copy/paste and, if you don't mind, please create a new ticket for editing multiple measures at one time. Thanks!
