Change voicing for multiple measures at one time

Hi Derek, I just came accross the Same topic as I was creating a template for a series of exercises. This would be a good one, Imagine the next student comes in and you want to practise the same ex. like the previous student, but he/she can‘t read the voicing that well. At this Point you want that worksheet to change to another voicing at once…

Mike Hendrickx Thanks for your comment, Mike! What you describe here is a common theme I've heard from educators (first from Kevin Jimenez and from many others since).
I've come to the hypothesis that while the educator might decide what they thing the most "intuitive" voicing is for a measure, that it's ultimately the reader (student) who has a voicing preference.
Therefore, I would like to propose that this is not only a composer choice, but also a reader choice that should be configurable.
This enhancment request is specifically for the composer to be able to change the voicing for multiple measures at one time. I've created a new enhancement request for allowing the reader to be able to change this as well:

Thanks for your feedback!

Hello Hinrich Nagel!
What you are describing is what I believe currently exists within the app.
As the vocabulary can vary from person to person, let me share what I understand so we can get aligned. 👍🏻
For a composition (a "beat" in Beat Note, if you will), you can have as many measures as you like.
When editing a measure, you can choose a single voicing for that measure, and the voicing applies to all beats (1, 2, 3, 4, etc). You can also choose a single time signature (for example, 4/4 time or 6/8 time) and this determines the number of beats in a measure (4/4 = four quarter note beats).
What is possible to change per beat is the subdivision (8th notes, triplets, 16th notes, etc).
Are you looking to change the voicing of individual beats in a measure similar to how changing subdivisons currently functions?
Could you also provide an image and an example where you'd like to have this level of control over the voicing?
Thank you!

Derek Lee Hi Derek,
I think there is a misunderstanding due to my confused naming of the parts of a composition (a beat). Sorry for that! My goal was to change the direction of the stem (please see the attached picture), which is named ‚voicing‘ in BN. Up to now, from my point of view, I can only change this for one measure in one step. If there are a lot of measures it takes a lot of time and clicks to change them all. Therefore I asked to have the possibility to do this for all measure of a composition in one step; not to change the time signature or the subdivision.
Hopefully you can now better understood my feature-request.
Best regards
Hinrich

Hinrich Nagel Thanks for the additional clarification here! Yes, I understand what you are referring to. I have some ideas about how this can be accomplished in coordination with some other features as well. Thank you!
