Delete (remove) or hide instrument

This needs to be implemented, just to allow user to make mistakes ...
I you want to add an instrument and unfortunately choose the wrong one, you don't want to carry this wrong intrument along with you all the time !
I'd also would like to be able to add/remove on a per measure basis in order to manage rythms vs fills without having all the intruments once played in a fill to appear in all "simple rythm" measures.
PS tried to vote, but are the votes closed on this ticket ?

Gilles Mercier Thanks for your comments, Gilles! No, votes are not closed for this feature. Not sure why it wouldn't let you vote, so I added your vote for you. 👍🏻

This is an enhancement that I've considered adding for some time, but due to limited user feedback, I haven't added it yet.
Recently, Leon Krain mentioned this to me, so I wanted to add it here.
The question I have for people who might be interested in this feature is:
When you remove an instrument from a beat:
Option #1. Would it be OK to remove that instrument from the entire beat? (Meaning, all measures of the beat), or:
Option #2. Would you want to remove an instrument only from specific measures of a beat? (For example, most of the beat is kick/snare/hat, but this one measure has a fill that needs some toms, and you don't want the toms on the other measures.)
The simplest solution would be to remove the instrument from the entire beat. Otherwise, each measure must have its own list of instruments, which might make editing beats much more difficult when duplicating a measure with fewer or more instruments than you want.
Of course, on iPad, this isn't as much of a concern (since there is more space), but on iPhone, screen space is more limited, which is why I would include option #2.
Thoughts?

Derek Lee: Hi, to me personally it would be valuable to be able to hide/remove an instrument from the whole beat. At least as a first step if there’s much interest in #2, and maybe with a loud warning that all transcriptions in this instrument will be hidden/lost?

Irina Khismatullina: Thanks for sharing your feedback on this topic as well! The more feedback I can collect, the more confident I can feel in making a decision about how to improve the app. 👍🏻
I am leaning towards what you suggested: giving the option to remove an instrument from the beat with a loud warning so the users understands that the instrument and all notes would be removed.
Some users have also asked for undo / redo functionality, so that is also something I am considering for the future. Once undo / redo functionality is included, then having loud warnings becomes a bit less necessary.
Please continue to share your feedback Irina! Thank you!!

Irina Khismatullina: Also, please vote for this feature if it's one you are interested in. I use the feature votes as a guide for deciding on how to prioritize my work. Thanks! 🙇🏻♂️
