Derek! That is awesome! I'm always humbled whenever I meet someone who has marched DCI! We do a lot with beginners here and I'm excited for the possibilities. Thank you for all your work on this wonderful product.

I marched a lot back in the day (HS, university, DCI) and am absolutely interested in opening Beat Note up to the marching world. In fact I already have an existing enhancement request with this functionality planned for a future release, so I'll move your vote there so you can track progress.
