Export to audio

This would be an amazing feature to offer as sending composed drum ideas to other non-drummer artists in the writing process could really speed up communication of ideas and help ease bottlenecks that come from non drummers trying to write drum parts! 😂

Gregory Vance Yes!! This is one of the reasons this feature is planned, as others have mentioned this as well. Thanks for adding this feedback to the mix, Gregory!
You may notice below some questions about different aspects of how this could be implemented. I'd love to hear your feedback as well on file formats, drum audio only/click audio included/etc, how much to export (all? just some?), configurable options, etc. Any feedback you can share on these (or other!) topics would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏻 Thanks!

Audio export is slated for inclusion in a future release.

It's great to see so many people voting for this feature! 🎉
Since we have hit a vote milestone of 10 votes, I'd like to ask some questions to help guide the development of this enhancement.
What format or formats you would like the option to export as?
Are there any other configurable options that you want? I expect one option that would be necessary would be the tempo you want the audio to be exported as.
For example...
- When exporting: do you only want the drum audio to be exported? Or do you want the option to include the click track?
- If including the click track, do you want to select the subdivision of the click?
- Do you want the ability to include a count-in with the audio export? If so, is one measure of count in sufficient? Or do you want the ability to have a two-measure count in?
- Are there any other configurable options you are interested in?
Thank you for your additional feedback! 🙇🏻♂️

Derek LeeFrom point of view the mp3-Format is accepted by most apps, maybe the m4a (Apple Lossless) is also a good idea. If the count-in (one measure only) could be included it's also great.

Derek Lee Seems MP3, WAV, M4A are the most used. I would personally be exporting to MP3 and WAV.
When exporting for Beats, I’d like to choose how many bars to export. Exporting one or 2 consecutive specific bars in the Beat could be for cases like an audio snap shot of a groove or a fill for a student, or social media use.
If the Beat is longer, like 32 bars, we might want to only export a selected 8 bar phrase.
For Worksheet use, we might want to only export a specific section.
Mainly, for both use cases, selecting a start and end # would be helpful.

Zak Bond Thanks for sharing this great feedback! I realize I'd assumed that people would want to export the audio of the entire beat, so it's helpful to know that you'd like to be able to choose which part to export.
I'd like to toss the question out to everyone else then: what would you want to do? Export the audio of the entire beat? Or be able to choose start/end locations? 🤔
