I'd find something like this pretty useful. Being able to add note/ instructions to a worksheet, or even a note about a specific bar

Ross Farley: Thanks for your feedback, Ross!
Do you have any samples you could share for this?
It seems like there are a few different ways of doing this. What I understood Josh's suggestion to be is just personal notes about a beat, not text to be displayed on the page.
When I hear you say "add instructions to a worksheet", this seems to me like something you'd want to display along with the music. I also agree that could be valuable, and I think that's a different enhancement.

Derek Lee: Yes, I think my vision is probably being able to annotate a Beat. That could achieve a similar goal though, I feel.
I tend to annotate worksheets or transcriptions for my students so being able to do the same within BN would be handy. If I need to do that currently, I export the PDF and annotate that. Annotations might include adding the count to a rhythm, practice BPM suggestion, reminders on a technical matter from a lesson etc.
If I can think of an example will send it your way!

Thanks Josh Horsley for creating this feature request! 👍🏻 I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback about features you'd like to see and I'd like to learn more from you about this.
It sounds like this would be just a free-form, unstructured note you'd like to be able to track different aspects of beats. Is that correct?
Where would you expect to find the "notes" within the app? Do you want to see an indicator that a beat has notes associated with it or not? Could you provide some examples of beats and the kind of notes you'd write for it?

Derek Lee there actually is a way to add notes on an iphone in the middle of exporting the beat as a pdf. When the share menu pops up, select “markup” to add any text, drawing or highlights, then “done” to save the pdf with those notes.

Andy Cahn Thanks for your feedback!
Yes it is possible to add notes to a PDF, and this is a good work around for the time beat. It also sounds like people would like to be able to add notes directly to Beat Note itself.
