Currently, when notating a single note on beats #1 and #3 of a measure, it is shown as a single quarter note with quarter note rest for the remaining beats (2, 4).

Instead, it would be more musically appropriate to render this note as a half note.

Additionally, this needs to be rendered appropriately in measures with an odd-time signature based on the location of the note and how it relates to the total number of beats in the measure.
