I notice when adding rhythm counts, when using split hands/feet the counts display underneath measure and can overlap with kick drum notes, they "bump" into each other. Also notice only way to have rhythm counts display above is with linear option, but would like counts above and still be able to split hands/feet. My preference is to always have counts above or if not using them, to have sticking above, but if both, I like to split so in my context, students can see the rests.
