Split subdivisions for hands and feet
Derek Lee
Thanks for this request, Zak Bond! Can you include some examples of how you would expect the music to look for this?
Would you still expect to be able to choose the voicing yourself (linear, split hands/feet, split cymbals/drums)? How does voicing impact this feature?

I imagine in the photo example hands and feet default to split. In the future more intricate mixed limb versions would be useful. Ex2: RH hat + RF in 16th based rhythms, LH snare + LF stepped in quarter or 8th note triplet based rhythms.

Zak Bond Thanks for this Zak! The more examples I can reference the better, and this is a good place to start. 👍🏻
I'd be keen to see how you would expect RH+RF and LH+LF mixed subdivision to be notated as I can't seem to wrap my head around how that would look on a single music staff. Maybe possible to notate across two staves instead of just one? 🤔

RH ride. RF kick. in 16ths
LH side stick & tom1. LF stepped HH. in 8th triplets
I noticed the 8th triplet rests render a bit high for my mock up, so redrew them lower.

Zak Bond Thanks for sharing this! Seeing a mockup definitely helps.
Full transparency: supporting this kind of notation will be a _very_ heavy lift - both from a user experience perspective (how to create this so it's easy for people to understand how to do it) as well as from a programming perspective (how to get the notation drawn properly and allow the user all possible combinations).
