Visualize audio playback as a vertical bar moving on top of the measure/notes linearly (playhead)

Hi @Vincent MULLOT and thanks for making this request!
I want to learn more about what you're looking for here.
I want to be sure understand what you mean by "linear." Do you mean just a line that moves at the same pace across the music notation, without actually lining up with the music notes?
Here's an example of what I'm talking about: https://youtu.be/fIXBu_uoCQk?si=DjS9y8llfqUaDi5S&t=146
Next, can you help me understand why you want to see the playhead move linearly?
Do you want this to be an option in addition to the existing playhead? Or to replace the existing playhead?
Please include as much information and detail as possible. Thank you!
Also, you marked this as "timer," but this does not seem to be related to the timer feature. The timer feature is the countdown timer that is included in playback. I just want to confirm that you're not referring to the timer.
Vincent MULLOT
Derek Lee yes you understood correctly the linear timer is a playhead. Actually it's each note lighting up, to me it's more natural to feel the next beat coming and less confusing than a lot of notes, the important is the quarter note beat. Maybe it could also light up the beats (or any subdivisions as an option), like a metronome, then in this case it could be an actual playheadtimer thing.

Vincent MULLOT Thanks for the quick reply!
This kind of visualization is really difficult to understand without more examples of what you're actually looking for. I can't see the vision you have in your mind, so I don't feel confident that I really understand what you're looking for here.
Can you share some examples of the style you're looking for? Maybe videos or images that show the style you'd like to see? Or other metronome apps that function in the way you find easier to understand?
Vincent MULLOT
Derek Lee actually just a play head vertical line that lights up when passing over the beats. And a possibility to choose it lighting up on quarter notes.

Vincent MULLOT Thanks for sharing some additional context!

Vincent MULLOT FYI, based on your clarifications, I renamed this request to be more aligned with the functionality you're asking for. This way it's hopefully easier for other people to understand so they can also upvote this or share feedback if it's something they are also interested in.
If you think a different title would be more appropriate please feel free to share or adjust! Thanks! 🙏🏻
Vincent MULLOT
Derek Lee hi no pbl. Just to be clear with the request please check the playhead on TOMPLAY , this is what meant.

Vincent MULLOT Thanks for sharing this, Vincent! I hadn't come across TOMPLAY yet, so I just downloaded it and checked it out. Some interesting ideas in there. 👍🏻
Below is a video showing the linear playhead for reference. Thanks again!
